reaap, Like the landscape with reflection. I always struggle with the level of light in such shots. The trend, at least if you're an Outdoor Photog. mag. reader like me, seems to be a distinctly dark natural images. I want to make them lighter. Yours is dark (moody) but still reasonably light.
Thank you. Sun was little lighting trees up. So darker were more dark because of that too. Rest of that is with some pp

Milky Way Over Lilypads and Lake

I didn't want to stay up later, so there was still some remnants of the sunset in the picture, but otherwise I like it I wish I had my 14mm with me to get more of the water and the milky way, the 24mm was just not quite wide enough. But otherwise I like the 24mm.

eaglem, nice image! A polarizer would remove the slightly distracting glare on the leaves.

craig bob, great aquarium shots. Jellyfish are amazing creatures. Are the ripples in the steamship shot natural or the result if PP?

Hey Snappy, you're really getting good at twilight / nite time shots. Makes me want to try my luck with my FA*24 f2.

Thanks. I was just on that thread about * lenses, and if they're really worth it and noticed the FA * 24. Sounds right up my alley, now I really want one! Time to tell off some inventory to fund one!

I'd love to see some samples if you have some/take some.

Thank you. I used a variety of lenses for this event. These are the lenses I used:
  • D FA 28-105 WR
  • FA-J 18-35 (I really wish Pentax would make a new constant aperture version of this lens with modern coatings or even a 17-40 f/4 to compete with Canon),
  • FA 50mm f/2.8 Macro (which IMO has better focus behavior than my FA 50 1.7)
  • D FA 100mm f/2.8 Macro WR
