Nice capture-white feathers are always hard to photograph without blowing out the highlights.
Thanks, Buckeyemikie. It is hard, just as you say.

Superb Egert image. Did you use a polarizing filter? Some claim a pola makes white feathers easier to capture.
Thanks,

Reflections on ripples. Makes me understand why Van Gogh painted the way he did and how he looked at the world. K1 with D FA 150-450 lens.
gaweidert, ripple shots are always interesting. Here's a couple from my files: one with water, one with stone. The on in stone I call Nature's Bar Code.

Thanks. I was just on that thread about * lenses, and if they're really worth it and noticed the FA * 24. Sounds right up my alley, now I really want one! Time to tell off some inventory to fund one!

I'd love to see some samples if you have some/take some.
Snappy, the FA*24 has a unique look, similar to the 3Amigos. Its hard to find but keep looking on PF. I overpaid for mine ($500) & later saw one for $350-$400 which I think is a fair price range.

There's a full moon coming on the 13th...I'll try to capture it w/the 24.

What will u sell to fund the 24?

If that were true, your 3 pics would be 3 posts Frederic.

At first glance, the clouds surrounding the sunlit Mt. Gould make it look almost 3D. High impact helps grab viewer's attention.

Magical image! Congratulations. It needs to be on a wall!

Thanks for the input. I took quite a few images that morning in Many Glacier and I have to figure the handful that work the best.

Thx barondla, I Have an entire series of that same Heron, including three shots of it bathing. Wading birds are so used to people they even bathe no more than 20 feet away.

A few more from the concert I shot a few weeks back.

Almost straight out of camera, just dropped the highlights a bit on some of them so the stage light glare wasn't so bright.
