Let me know if you want to meet up at Letchworth. The new railroad bridge is a sight to behold.

I have ancestors buried in the cemetery across the street from that church.
OK George, here are some shots of the church & cemetery. The church was closed in 2003 and all the stained glass windows removed. Have not yet found out where the windows went. In the portrait frame shot the large stones on either side of the white pine are Weidert stones. Took photos of many stones but posting only a few here. I will save all that I take to give to you, and copies of terrific information on the Weidert family that I found at the Elk County Historical Society. They were a very important part of the church and the settlement of that area. It was such a beautiful day and I really enjoyed looking into the history of your family & the area. OH, almost forgot that I have a copy of an 1878 map of Elk county that shows the properties owned by the Weiderts. That I will save for you as well.

Best Regards, Bob

Really Frederic, that moon shot is only HALF as good as you can do...of course it is only HALF a moon...
Interesting that gaweidert's family came from your neck of the woods. They went to a great length to get as far as possible away from you...
Best Regards, Bob

Bob, thanks for the photo and the info on the family. The two Weiderts mentioned on the back the the stone are cousins, of mine. I did talk to Bill some years ago. He lives in Saratoga, California. I look forward to meeting up with you.
