Wow, check out the pixel shift on and off comparison of the still life flower arrangement. Very very impressive. And it's taken with the 28-105 "cheap kit zoom".
Is there any difference at all between the pixel shift on and pixel shift off pics of the flower arrangement? Both photos look identical when viewed at 100%.

Trip Advisor Got It Different To This

Not staying here... it's not finished and I'm not too sure about the extensive garden/grounds...

"Retro Lady" (SMC Pentax-M 40mm F2.8) strutting her stuff.

A few more shots from Letchworth State Park. The first one is the Mrs. taking a shot of some turkey vultures on the wing with her Sony bridge camera. Got it for her a few years ago. I cannot get her to use the viewfinder. It does jpeg only files, but the results are very nice. She likes it a lot. Next step is to teach her to use some post processing software. The brilliant red shrub is called burning bush for obvious reasons. Puts on quite a show in the fall.

Great panorama, well done..

There are so many great shots here, I wonder if the K1 can take a bad shot with all of you in control of it The quality of photos here is outstanding.

I was taking shots of some frangipani's and this bug caught my attention and sat there long enough to grab a few shots

and while on a walk I found a tiny stream
Really great bug shot with the Tamron 90mm Macro! You nailed the focus! Looks like he's cleaning his antenna.

I've just added the Pentax FA 50mm F2.8 Macro to my collection, (also have the Pentax DFA 100mm Macro) but will have to wait a few months until the bugs are back, everything's is covered in snow this morning! ;-)

This panorama has an interesting perspective. Did you do something special or is that just how the shots came together? I love places like that and this photo seems to capture that atmosphere.
Here is how the stitched images looked after Photoshop put them all together, before I fiddled around trying to straighten the building up.

Thanks for sharing this. It needs some study but I am even more impressed with your final image.

The only thing I wasn't satisfied with about the final image was how the business sign was distorted. I may go back again when there aren't so many cars parked in front of the place, and try a better collection of images to stitch together.

An extremely bright day - light from the back, highlighting an old bridge from 1916.

All images taken with K-1 and DA*11-18. K-1 in FF Square / FF mode. First one is a pano made from 3 images taken at 12 mm. Rotation from first to third image only 45° (landscape orientation), stitched with PTGui, rectlinear projection. PTGui says that makes an image equivalent one made with a 8.3mm lens - 135° horizontal, 91° vertical.

From the images I could also get a nice PTGui circular fisheye projection - unfortunately not perfect since the images are taken in landscape orientation. Next time I'll try it using portrait orientation!

Second and third image are captured at 16mm, same lens. All captures made using f/11.
