Me and my friends had one of the darkest spots on the Icefields Parkway to ourselves with only a single light that lit up the mountainside beyond for a few minutes. It was so quiet at 2 am you could hear small avalanches fall down the sides of the nearby hills.
Beautiful image and area. So peaceful.
Thanks for sharing,

I've seen other dancers kick up a leg that way, but it's just an optical illusion. I tried myself and can testify such a move is impossible.

Thanks Eddy! I dunno about perfect, but yeah, the K-1 & 150-450mm combo sure does some nice work, I just have to show up and give it something to do, heh. The bokeh and sharpness is silly good for what it is. I've never seen the likes of it on a lens of this type. It has to be the most under-rated Pentax lens I've ever seen. Crazy!

Now the DA560mm which I lust over, THAT is painfully expensive. The 150-450 is just expensive if you buy new... second hand like I bought mine it is just mildly expensive.
See, it is all relative!

Close encounters of the Red Shouldered Kind...

This red shouldered hawk has been hanging around my house this week in my Oak tree... I wonder what "prey" has his attention? Rats? Mice? My new puppy?

Yeah, he is eye'ing an upper branch and about to jump...

Based on seeing what appears to be blood on his left leg, I think he already got "something!" Great images Eric! Now have to get a 150-450 for my K-1...and my KP also. Thanks for being an LBA trigger.

Thanks! Yeah, I saw the blood. He was hopping up and down on "something" on my neighbors lawn, but it was small and below the level of the grass so I couldn't make it out. I usually only see them hop like that when it is something fighting back, like a snake... I was just glad he wasn't injured and it wasn't his own blood from what I could tell.

I'm happy to help stoke your LBA, but It's not like I'm working for Ricoh and using subliminal messages or Jedi mind tricks or anything.

BUY IT! BUY IT!!! BUY IT NOW!!! RIGHT NOW!!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???!!! STILL READING THIS?! STOP WASTING TIME AND GO BUY ONE ALREADY! SHEESH!
