Inside the gift reads the following message;

Dear PENTAXIAN

On November 27, 2019, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Asahi Optical Joint Co., the original manufacturer of PENTAX-brand products.
We wish to thank you for your years of patronage and support!
To express our gratitude, we have prepared a special gift for you.
Thank you again!

Sincerely,
Shinobu Takahashi
President
RICOH Imaging Company Ltd.
Congratulations.

But wait a minute. I'll think I've been using Pentax since before you were born. But wait a minute, I've also owned Canon & Nikon, and now I'm using Olympus & Panasonic. And I am not a photographic artist. Oh dear. My lifetime failings hang like albatrosses, oh wait, that's the Panasonic around my neck.

In any case. Well earned.

LOL... yes it doesn't feel fair does it Well... I did have to make the effort of attending the event to get one, and then of course having to put up with the boring yadada of fellow ancient Pentaxians (thank god for the free bar!). Haha! It's yours WPRESTO for a measly $1000AUD (or a FA31...)

Yes, the FA 43 makes for an excellent landscape lens. Very comfortable range — more so, often, then 50mm.

Here's another Eel River shot with the FA 43:

Saw the sunset and quickly found a small pond. Ran about 100 ft. down a very step road side. Only grabbed the K-1 with FA 43 Limited. Left the tripod up in the car.
Thanks for looking,
barondla
