That is a really fine lunar image. I'll bet it wasn't your first try at photographing the Moon.

That's right, I have been taking photos of the moon with a Sigma APO 500mm f/4.5 for a while and stacking them. I recently bought the telescope and a mount without tracking features. The telescope handles chromatic aberration much better than the old Sigma and I apparently do not need to stack the images to get pretty sharp results. I was able to push the color saturation quite a bit for this photo. I will eventually get a tracking mount for astrophotography, because astrotracer is not working as well with the 950mm focal length of the telescope as it was with the 500mm Sigma. This hobby will be like owning a boat $$$$.

K-1ii & 15-30 this morning. It was -20 F and the gear all did well although the camera stuck to my face a little and my eyelashes froze.
