K-1 + SMC M 20/4 @ f/8 in hyper focal ...

Last Thursday there was a protest march in Poitiers against the reforms to the retirement reforms. The protest march passed in front of the courthouse and the attorneys in their trail robes were there to participate. Here are a few images that I took for an upcoming photo club exhibition this Spring. The theme is "view from the ground" or "view of the ground" ... it's a play on words.

Well last night into today we finally had one of those powder snowfalls. Perfectly still with large flakes. About 5 inches of snow on top of the 12 inches (300mm) we had over the last few days. Some rain after on of the snowfalls compressed the lower levels quite a bit. Went out to a local park to take a few shots. All with a K1-II with D FA 28-105 lens mounted.

What do you do after meeting somebody new online at 11PM? go ice climbing early morning the next day, of course! Luckily for her we were close in size so we were able to share my technical boots. She did quite well for her first time on the ice, even managed to lift the K-1 and 70-200 combo to snap a few pictures on me. Mental note: never again use the 70-200 for more than a few minutes before climbing.
