On a bicycle tour this afternoon through a forest close to our little village ...
K1 and Tamron SP AF 90mm F2.8

Anemona nemorosa - or in German: Buschwindröschen
In normal years the appearance is a sign that wonderful weeks are ahead ... not so sure this year ...
Again K1 and Tamron SP AF 90mm F2.8

More masses of flowers recorded with a K1. These seem to be past their peak and starting to whither, but pretty nonetheless.

A friend borrowed me the 150-450 and we were out in January.

Shot it at 1/500 and ISO 5000. Perhaps 1/250 would have been sufficient to get less noise at lower ISO. I don't have a lot of experience in birding.

Blur is the great destroyer in bird photography. A long lens means problems with camera movement, and small birds make unpredictable, blindingly quick spastic movements. It's commonly necessary to tolerate the noise of high ISO to get a reasonable number of keepers.

As always I enormously enjoy the images you post. The first image above really caught my eye. Among so many flower images posted on PF, it is notable
