A daily habit during times of "social distancing" is a bicycle ride through local fields and forests with my K1 and one or two lenses ...
Two shots from today.

Awesome placement of the focal plane on the first shot.

The D FA100/2.8 Macro WR Needs No Introduction

Except for duck portraits, perhaps.

On a serious note, I hadn't had an alcoholic drink since 4th Jan 2020, but finally thought that desperate times call to open a birthday present

Pixelshifted with the D FA 28-105. Here's to visiting Japan one day.
Is it any good? I wonder what @Kerrowdown would think of it?

A friend borrowed me the 150-450 and we were out in January.

Shot it at 1/500 and ISO 5000. Perhaps 1/250 would have been sufficient to get less noise at lower ISO. I don't have a lot of experience in birding.
If this shot is any indication, I'd say you're off to a terrific start.

Unlike Sir Thomas Sean Connery and his Suntory Whisky... I'm more for the real McCoy i.e. Scottish and preferably from the isle of Islay varieties.

Wasn't that a diplomatic response, the old Kerrowdown could get a wee job with the UN, for replies like that.

Being 2nd Shooter

Going through some old files, as I guess many of us are doing just now, with the extra available time on our hands.

I came across this image from outside the sloped entrance to St Giles Cathedral Edinburgh. Whilst not my genre of photography at all... I was helping out an old pal, when his second shooter let him down at fairly short notice.

As wedding images go, I must admit that I do quite like this one.

Well, a little marine paint, a Merlin engine from a Spitfire and you could cruise the canals in record time. Really "wake up" all those slowpokes rowing around on them.
