Bedham was only a tiny hamlet a few miles from a larger town Petworth. From the research i have done the main occupation at the time in the area was charcoal production. After the first world war, and with increasing industrialisation the jobs disappeared and so did the people. Today it is a collection of a few houses, that is all. Just the abandoned church as a reminder of slightly busier times.
I just GoogleMapped it and it is not obvious where that school/church was. Looks like just a few houses, all with roofs on.

It is at approx 50.9884 -0.5543. If you turn on street view and place yourself on Wakestone Lane at those co-ordinates you can see it from the road.

Our local PBS station is rerunning episodes of "Australia's First Four Billion Years". Flinder's Range is featured in it. It is a very good watch for those who are so inclined.

Looks like you are camping off the grid a bit. Solar, generator or both?

After the "squirrel proof" bird feeder failed I decided to up armor the place. The plexiglass was originally glued in place. Now it is screwed in place. I also added some 1/4 inch steel mesh to keep the critters at bay. Now to see how the squirrel army of Otis escalates from here. And Rupert, no hints from above.

With the 31, who needs a new 35? I know: they gave us one, sort of, recently.

Nicely captured. Equipment’s nothing without the right eye behind it.

Lots of old rocks and early fossils to look at. I wired the van a while ago so all my 240v stuff works ..... about the cost of a second hand 645z (lithum battery, solar and inverter etc).... but.... I can use my toaster and expresso machine..... carry two weeks of water (wife makes me shower every day when using the van solo.... so I don't stink it up she reckons). Very cold at night this way at the moment.... but ducted gas heater for that... old man camping.

I got a new K-1 Mark ii yesterday so I took a trip downtown this morning to try it out. Here are some favorite shots. More available in the gallery when you click on a photo. All of these were with a Tamron 90mm f/2.8.

As to that first picture: what happens if one were to walk outside the yellow lines?
