I've been playing with tubes a lot lately for a little extra macro power for my non-macro lenses.
ID suggestions on this little flower are welcome.
I'm a long way from you so there's little chance you have the same plant species there as here, however, that looks a lot like a local flower called "yellow goat's beard" Tragopogon pratensis (use the scientific name, as there is a totally different plant also called "goat's beard")

follow up: It's also called "meadow salsify" but looking at a few images, I don't think that the petals are quite the same. The one you've posted has petals with sharply pointed tips whereas Tragopogon pratensis petals have a more rounded tip with several small points.

Made the most of a short sunny interlude the other day - here is four more from the HD FA* 85mm:

All wide open, except the last - which is at f2.5.

Fun with the FA77, just to remind myself why I like it, and that I don't need the new 85mm... at least that is what I keep telling myself.
(the awesome post above by John is NOT helping me LOL!)

Oh you’re too kind. And you’re nailing it with FA77 too anyway, the colours here are pure FA limited!

(Full disclosure, I have both, I was ‘supposed to be selling’ FA77 when the 85 arrived but I’m keeping it, so no judgement on owning both here )

I’m lusting after 85 when my economy allows it. I have 77 and DFA*70-200. Not going to sell either of those for or after new 85. 77 holds it for itself. No question about that going to sell lot of other things thou..

Going on past history, there will be better deals for those who wait a little, if that's any consolation.I would not sell 70-200 or 77 either. I thought my LBA was permanently fixed when I sold all my DA limiteds and eventually rounded out the WR full frame zooms with a DFA*50 (I waited for the price to drop for that, since I do have A50/1.2).

I have long wanted (but never owned) an FA*85. When the 85mm was revealed I was shocked by the price but actually decided to sell my FA 77 and 43 to get the 85.

I took the FAs out for a quick walk just to check they were ok to sell () ........ and of course I decided to keep them.

What's worse, I enjoyed this lightweight walk-around so much it really rekindled my love for primes and I also picked up a cheapish FA31 to complete the set. Hopeless!

Beware if when you walk past it, you hear a tiny voice saying "Feed me. Feed me."

Aye... I'm not watering them and certainly not feeding it after midnight.

From a trip to the mountains this weekend. A weather change (to the worse!) was coming, and created a colorful show in the skies late in the evening. I have not increased saturation here, just adjusted shadows and highlights. Both images shot with K-1 mkII and DFA 28-105.
