A prime example of what I can rarely do = envisioning an unusual image then going and making it. 99+% of my images are either what I can find, or what by luck turns up in front of me. Your image is creative, a result of forethought and vision. Excellent.

And a trivial suggestion. There's a vertical bright streak on your lower right leg that looks anachronistic = where does that light come from? I would clone that off with shadow to make your image in the picture a full silhouette.

Thanks! The bright streak is the moonlight reflecting off my gumboot/Wellies, as the moon was behind me when I took that part of the composition. I decided to keep it there, mostly to add a highlight and a bit more depth to my silhouette ( I didn't want it too dark ), but if isn't recognizable as such and/or a bit illogical, then maybe it's a bit pointless keeping it there.

Raining star light.

Yeah, a bit cheesy; but I had an idea, and borrowed a mate's lavender-coloured umbrella to see if it would work

Taken about a week ago at Lake Dumbleyung. K-1 with the Samyang 20mm f1.8. f4 and ISO800, 43 exposures at 120 seconds each for the stars and reflections. After I had finished the star trails, I then light-painted the trees using my headlamp and merged them to in to give them a bit more detail so that they weren't just dark silhouettes.

The shot of me and the umbrella was taken much earlier in the evening at a different spot on the lake while the moon was still up for some illumination on my back. I used the Sigma 35mm f1.4 @ f2.8, ISO6400 and 15 seconds. I set the intervelometer, trudged out into the water to a spot with a rock in the water where I had pre-focused, and held my best pretend-it's-raining pose for 15 seconds. I then cut and glued it into the photo, scaling it against the tree.

Glad it actually ended up looking kind-of how I envisioned.
Mate, that's an absolute pearler! Print it big and hang it on the wall.

The International Space Station passed overhead tonight so I took a bunch of shots. I took several 8 second exposures using my K-1ii with a Pentax A 28mm lens. This first photo I loaded 8 shots into Photoshop as layers and set the types to Lighten to combine them. You can see the stars trailed over the minute or so.

I took the same 8 photos and stacked them in Sequator to get this shot.

This is the final single shot I got as it climbed over a tree and soon disappeared from sight.
