BTW: At one point when we were on tour in Tanzania we were joined by a group that had just completed a climb of Kilimanjaro where they had been caught by a sudden snowstorm. They were prepared (you must be), but it made for very difficult and uncomfortable hiking. They were both exhausted and animated.
I imagine after a few years the yarn will be that I walked for like a week or something, while dealing with a lot of bears trying to get us while at it
That's not a problem, I have a lot of stories
) When I was a bit younger I was kinda reckless, so most of the time when hiking I settled for impossible track times and of course ended up hiking at night all the time. Truth to be told, I was mostly worried for my teammate since it was only her 4th serious track.
And... just as I write, I signed up for climbing at night next week. Somebody asked and I couldn't say no
This time it's gonna be technical climbing not hiking, but I've never done any climbing without a rope so it should be totally safe. I'm not sure I can carry the camera with me though. Maybe I will try to get it along with the DFA 50 1.4 or a small lens like the FA 43 or FA 77. One thing is for sure, never carrying the DFA 70-200 ever again
My hands get pumped out too quickly. Still, I will watch "Free Solo" tonight just for the kicks
I've never been a real rock climber, more like a hiker who does some climbing since I have a lot of friends that do... but every once in a while, everybody likes to imagine that they are Alex Honnold...albeit with the rope on
Anyway, here are rest of the picks. I didn't take any pictures after the sunset since I was kinda in a hurry.
