Has anyone ordered the 15-30mm? It's still not listed on the website and I haven't heard any mention of if any were arriving with the K-1's. I probably can't afford it at full AU retail but I'd like to see a few in circulation and hopefully some price competition before too long.

My local B&M called to say that CRK have dispatched my K-1 and I "should" have it on Friday... can't wait.
Yes I got a quote of $3,000 for the 15-30 from Teds yesterday, so ordered it from B&H last night which saved over $600 & it's on it's way. Can't believe the size of the markup, I would like to buy locally but that is ridiculous! Looking forward to the quality but not really the size & weight, as I mainly use the FA20/2.8 now which I love. On long walks I'll probably still take the FA20, esp as I can mount the Lee filters on it. But otherwise I'm really keen to see the images from the 15-30.

Teds Canberra rang today to say that my K1 should be here soon, maybe even this week, fingers crossed...I pre-ordered on 1 March. Feeling very poor now but excited!

It just arrived, picked it up from the post office, yet to open the box. Damn I'm excited. And the edit, my first RAW image and Apple's Photos reads the DNG. No editing straight out of the camera converted to Jpeg on export. Okay it's getting a bit late in the afternoon so a bit dark.

Got a call from Paul at Kirk's this morning. He had got a delivery of 4 K-1's and one had my name on it! I was there within the hour to pick it up and have a play around in the shop. Been at work since, and just got home, so no chance to really test anything, but my overall first impression coming from a k-7/k-5/k-3 was SMOOTH. everything is just a little bit better. The focusing is rapid and sure, the in body motor sounds like a powerful little wasp is doing the driving - (flintstones style, but quietly) The viewfinder screen is impressive. The body is perhaps a little chunky and square shouldered tbh, but I'll get used to it.

Paul told me to let you guys know he has a couple for sale. Go get 'em.
Thanks Wizofoz! I went to Kirks this afternoon and grabbed one, after I canceled my pre-order from Ted's at Knox - they told me ETA time of June...
Paul at KirKs told me that now only one unit left in his store. So be quick!

Heres a pic from mine..... its still a virtual camera, paid for but separated from me by time, so you'll need your imagination to fill in the blanks (SMC K200/4 Goolwa Pelican):

Good on CRK getting the cameras out..... well done.

Leaderville did a good job of getting mine to me as well.

Seems my Girlie spat earlier was just that, a Girlie spat. Ah well, off to take a selfie....

Handled one yesterday at Ted's Brisbane store, very excited, the girl there said they had 8 K1 on Tuesday, had sold 6 of them already, and the one was on hold for someone, the last one was the display one.

I should have mine either this afternoon or tomorrow from Digital Camera Warehouse, I pre-ordered yonks ago.

Yeah, just picked up mine from DCW Northcote. The guy I was dealing with expressed some affection for Pentax, having once been an *ist owner. He shoots Sony currently, but I can't hold that against him. :-)

Went with four year warranty extended on top of the standard two, six years all up for $139. This is a v1 product, after all!
