If you use it on the K-1 you can kiss your eyepoint goodbye.

Eye control focus is something entirely different from eyepoint. Eyepoint is an important statistic for wearers of glasses, as it states the distance in mm at which the entire area of the viewfinder may be seen.

It's mentioned in the list of optional accessories. http://www.pentax.cz/web-content/Produkty/Digital/K-1/Sheet_PENTAX%20K-1_CZE.pdf

I have it on both K-7 and K-3 and I'm very happy with it.

I didn't know Pentax was trying to steal Hasselblads thunder by coming out with a digital version of the X-Pan.

Mine used to be perfect but I think I read too many Playboys when I was young! Now I need the eyecup.

Hello everybody,

I tried O-ME53 on my Pentax K-1 and was very astonished:
- It's better to use it to help focusing
- it doesn't crop the image via the OVF and show the entire area.

Do you think I should buy for a better (?) magnifier like Tenpa 1.22x? If you have experience with it, please let me know.
Best regards.

Echoing success in using the magnifier with the K-1. It does slightly obstruct the screen at some viewing angles.
