jatrax, and which will get the privilege?
I'm thinking the 24-50 I think I am most curious to see how that lens works on FF. If it is good enough for me I might be able to pass on the new 24-70, I just do not want the weight of that lens if I can help it. After that I have an FA 20-35 and the FA 24-90 that need tested.

Also really curious to see how the 17-28 FE works, I've tried it on APS-C but of course it is not really very fishy there.

Really, I plan on setting up and doing tests on all of them. This is a completely new era and we really do not know how any of these lenses will perform yet. The expectation has been we will be able to use our old glass, but will we be happy with the results? I guess we will find out in a few months.

When I get one, it will probably be my screw mount SMC 55mm f1.8. I have owned it since it was new. It is an awesome lens and has right of first refusal due to how gracefully it has aged. After that I will test the rest of my old manual focus lenses and see how they work. Of the four auto focus lenses that I own, only two, the FA 150-450 and my Tamron 70-200 f2.8 are FF compatible. For this camera I may wind up with a selection of Samyang lenses for it. Just not sure yet. If the viewfinder is good for manual focusing I prefer manual focus over auto focus anyway, Hard to change after 45 years I guess.

Auto cropping for APS-c lenses has no real interest for me as I have a K3 for those lenses. My K5 and K5-IIs will probably go up for sale once I get a K1. Since I got my K3 they have been pretty much idle, I hate to see good tools sit idle and I am sure someone here will give them a good home.

How did that 12-24 & tc combo result?
I understood from one youtube video, that 12-24 was ok from 18 to 24.
12mm with tc would give a little wider view...if iq is good enough.

I was thinking earlier today this time I want to do something nice with my first shot, select the right lens and take some care rather than just blasting away at a bookcase. Probably K50/1.2. Then FA43.

It will take a year to try them all.

With the converter on, it worked all the way. But of course not that wide anymore.

Well, actually, I might test something else first, or I might end up buying something new again..

Kenspo, how is the focusing screen for manual focus?

While the MTF curves of the FA 20-35 hold up well to 15mm off-center,
they really droop getting out to 21mm.

Havent tested it properly. But seems good. I hardly ever use it, so haven't made it a priority to test it yet.

And how is LV with that weird screen? How easy it to operate?

I'm glad that LV button is separated well now. Always hit it accidentally in dark.
Get the credit for my pre-ordering next week, thanks!

in a similar thread from last year I said it would be 43 and my 0001 shot would be a silly selfie of self with 31 and 77. but since then I acquired FA20 so maybe it gets the call so the selfie can be with mis tres amigos. ☺️
