Which lenses you're going to test on K-1 fist?

Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f1.4 or the cheap Pentax K 55mm f1.8. On 85mm, good value the Samyang/Rokinon 85mm f1.4 or Pentax K 85mm f1.8.

I've used the VL and both K58/K85 and they are all excellent, the K55 stands out as its so cheap and available, the VL58 has an advantage of being an 'a' mode lens so you can control the aperture from the camera.

I've always found the K85/1.8 truly amazing....if you don't mind a manual lens.

I agree, its possibly the best built lens I have handled, and so compact too. Main reason I passed it on was I needed AF for the work I do on my day job.

Yes was looking for manual only. Currently I only have a spotmatic so the lenses won't go on k-1 without an adapter. Will definitely look for the K85/1.8

If you have a 55 f/1.8 or 85 f/1.8 S-M-C Takumar as I do they'll fit the K-1 with the M42 adapter. For sure I'll be testing them when I get the K-1.

Does anyone have any thoughts re the Samyang 14 2.8? All the reports from full frame Canon-Nikon users seems to be that it is incredible value, so now that the K1 is here it should be a good fit? Am very keen on UWA for night photography - stars, auroras. Thanks in advance!

FA*85/f1.4, M50/f1.2, DA*55/f1.4, D-FA100/f2.8Macro, F50/f2.8Macro, A50/f2.8Macro, DA*50-135/f2.8, F50/f1.7, M50/f1.7, K55/f2, M100/f2.8 (non-macro) in that order.

I may want to part with my DA*60-250/f4 soon.

I quite like it - the absence of coma will suit your astrophotography. Here it is on my A7:

Try first? The FA77 of course, the most amazing "open tunnel" of glass.

But it will be nice to have the FA28 Soft and F85 Soft running at their proper focal lengths. Both had strange fields of view due to crop factor on APS-C. The K-1 might even arrive on time to be able to catch some cherry blossom shots on the Boston Esplanade this spring. (The FA28 Soft lens' target market in Japan was cherry blossoms.) The "Soft" lenses are so much easier to use when you can "chimp."

My K 30mm f/2.8 and K 135 f/2.5 will probably be on there first. Followed by the 43mm ltd.

The Sigma 180 EX Macro might also get a look in shortly after.

I'm not expecting the first two to be stellar performers on such a sensor but I am hoping they both maintain their slightly magical qualities.

I've just ordered my first Samyang, a 24mm f1.4 in preparation for the K-1 as all my current wide lenses are aps-c sized.
I hope the Samyangs are good value as for once they actually suits the Pentax system in that they don't have an in lens stabilization. (Which we often have to pay for without getting it.)
