Not quite.

Face detection might conceivably fall within the category of Pentax's 'shape detection', but I have my doubts. That diagram of the Pentax scene detection system has basically remained unchanged since the K-3.

'Deep learning', like 'big data', is a buzzword I've been seeing a lot of recently. Good to see Pentax marketing is keeping up with modern trends.
