Ask them if they're ever going to finally address the K-30/K-50 aperture block failure issue. They've known about it long enough to have addressed this from the factory level, yet it still occurs.

I'd like to know, if they are willing to say, what kind of roadmap Ricoh has for their AF technology? Do they have any plans to accelerate their focusing algorithms? I understand that screw drive lens are limited by they can do and I'm not asking about that. What can we see beyond DC motors and SDM?

Why did they not include a User - Option in the Smart Function Wheel?
So that one could put his mostly accessed function there.

What sort of user manual can we expect? Will it be like the K5, or more like the K3 version?

I would still like to know if Ricoh is planning on addressing the poor repair services (and only availalbe in the US) now that a new full frame system is being released by them.
+1

How in general is NA progressing on rebuilding in-house, higher-quality distributor infrastructure?

I'll be meeting up with Ricoh at WPPI tomorrow, so holler if you guys have any questions you'd like me to ask.

Also, is anyone else from the forum attending?
I'd vote for questions on future plans for the APS-C line...as not everyone will be going immediately for the FF. Canikon makes FF and has not, by any means, neglected their APS-C production...
Thanks!

For all of us using old lenses could you try to fit in these two questions about the K-1 please.

1. Could you try to get a clear answer to whether the focusing screen is interchangeable, German site says it is, US site does not say anything about it, and rumors are saying it isn't.

2. Ask what the reason for keeping the crippled mount is (no aperture sensing on K and M lenses), technical difficulties? Extra cost? Secretly trying to push people to buy new lenses? Laziness?

I'm interested in the Dynamic Range of the K-1. It hasn't been mentioned anywhere that I know of.

Well, DXO would also say the DR is improved much more whem downsampling from 36Mp to 8Mp rather than 16 to 8, but that's DXO for you - assumptions, assumptions, assumptions. ☺

Yes, It's a pity DXO never asked you how they should have done their measurements, if they had their measurements could actually have been useful.

Some could interpret from the M series to the FA and DA series lenses, particularly in the Limited Series, that keeping the lenses compact was something Pentax users often appreciated. In an era where in lens motors and weather sealing is more common, is that still a goal of Pentax lens designers or are other design themes like sharpness taking more of a priority in lenses under consideration?
>This<.

I've really appreciated all the advancement and investment Ricoh is making in the Pentax brand. However, I am not at all excited
about the recent Canikon cannons that have been introduced. There are plenty in Pentax land who want these behemoths, true
enough. But I won't be buying them. I have high hopes Ricoh will keep those primes lean and mean.

Simply put, is compactness still a priority for the Pentax brand, or has Ricoh acquiesced into the demands of the 'big and showy
is best' crowd?

We demand the big and showy, asking about the Art line from Sigma, the new Tamron lenses or even the Zeiss, even the long 600... and Ricoh knows that if they want to attract new people, they need those lenses. Maybe in the future once the brand is big enough they develop new small, "slow" +f2.0 primes, but i think the profit is on the fastest lenses who can compete against the wow factor of the Sigma, Tamron and Zeiss f1.4
