Concerning Europe, last saturday I heard "April 28th" from Ricoh Imaging spokesperson but he did not tell me wether it is official or not so take it with a grain of salt.

That is actually the official date as stated by RI Japan :



From Pentaxist memory, that's the very first time we can see such a logical and welcome decision.

So, it is very interesting to see how things will effectively process

B&H WILL BE CLOSE
SuperStore & Offices
B&H will be closed starting at 7pm EDT on Thurs April 21.
We will reopen at 10am on Sun May 1.

Online Orders
Online ordering will pause during the following holiday observance periods:
7:30pm Fri April 22 through 9pm Sun April 24
7:45pm Thurs April 28 through 9:15pm Sat April 30

Shipping
Orders placed before 4pm on Thurs April 21 will be processed prior to the holiday closing.
Orders placed after this time will be processed after we reopen on Sun May 1.

So if I interpret this correctly I could wait until 22.04. and see if my B&H order will be shipped.
If it did not, I could order it at Amazon and see if they ship it.
If they do I could cancel my order at B&H online from 25.04. - 28.04.

Is this correct?

Spoke with B&H today... Two shipments will arrive in April and a larger shipment is due in early May. The term "heavily back-ordered" was used....

The entire April shipment(s) and most of the early May shipment is already sold, I think. Although B&H Customer Service told me I am in the May2nd Shipping Group I don't think I'll get mine until mid-May. Just a hunch - not that I care much either way. K-3 is just fine.

Visited my local store today where I pre-ordered. Walked away confused.

They will have a presentation of the K-1 on the 28th of April.
They will stock a few on the 6th of May.

I still don't know when I will receive mine as, imo, my pre-order shouldn't be counted as "stock" otherwise they will accidentally sell it. Or we're just all paranoid about not getting it!

I just check my order in BH, the K1 remains "In order", the DBG-6 (aka Grip) change to "order processing expedited delivery", it seems like they going to send the grip first... well, i could wait them until they send all togheter, and honestly i prefer that way, but its something... Its like have a small piece of the long waited pentax ff in the hand...

Got an email from B&H today telling me that... My camera is still on back order. Sure was excited to see that email - but reading it left me flatter than an ISIS cannon after it gets hit by a smart bomb.

Just checked my order: 2/18/2016 order date: Still on order.

Frankly I'll be surprised to get my camera before June. That will be the reward for being one of those who ordered on day 1; getting to watch people who casually stroll into camera stores walk out with one - while I get a pocket full of mumbles. Oh well, I've only been waiting for a Pentax Full Frame for what 13 years? I guess another month and a half won't be so bad. That joke about Lucy pulling the football away when Charlie Brown tries to kick it just never gets old.

A prediction:: shipment arrives at B&H docks at 7:30PM April 21. Store is closed until May 1st, so trucker returns shipment to Pentax. Shipment eventually gets back to B&H in middle of May, we get our K-1s starting on or about June first. That explains why Adorama has the delivery date to them listed as May 22; they have already figured out what is going to happen.

That would be a huge fail from Adorama, if that could be the case, a simple phone call to Ricoh to delay the shipment is enough

In Holland they get it the 27th & can ship thereafter..problem..holiday the day after so it looks like May 3 in my hands!!!
