i remember when i placed my order, it initially said early April.
then it changed to mid of April, then and then again May the second.

A B&H Rep told me this morning that they have not received any stocks from Ricoh.
So it seems that, for B&H at least, May the 2nd shipping date is firm now.

Huh. My order has always said 'Free Expedited Shipping'.

The B&H customer rep. I asked was less forthcoming... only said early May. When I asked whether that meant the first week. No answer. When I asked whether my order would be backordered he didn't answer only saying orders would begin filling when they get their shipment. When I asked how many they were expecting in their shipment from Ricoh he said he had no way to find out. So I'm trying my best zen meditation to relax.

B&H, and Adorama, both re-open on May 1st - which is a Sunday. They won't receive any shipments that day is my guess. That is why B&H says May 2; they expect to ship the same day they receive the first order of the merchandise. After 13 years of waiting plus at least 6 months of additional delay - remember when it was going to be November of 2015 - I'm not going to hold my breath on a May 2nd ship date. The real question is has the ship even been loaded in Japan yet?

Availability: Pre order. Shipped from Apr 30, 2016

Pretty sure it was giving 28th last time I looked... ...oh well, a watched camera never gets delivered :-(

One online retailer in Taiwan is expecting to ship between April 27th ~ 29th.

I can survive with a ~May 6 delivery date. As long as it's in my hands by Friday the 13th (wouldn't that be ironic?).

That will give me 2 weekends to get used to the camera before my trip to Alaska. I really don't want to be learning menus on the fly.
