K-1 and SDXC size limit

I'm wondering if some details about the SDXC memory card size limit are known already.

I hope 2x 128 GB could be realistic for K-1?

I'm not sure it works that way, but if they say they support the SDXC standard, and the standard says SDXC cards can be up to 2TB, then shouldn't that be the max, 2x2TB? (Not that that large cards exist yet, 1TB seems to be the max today, but these standards often include some space above what's available when they are designed)

Edit: Can't seem to find the 1TB, but "only" 512 GB cards now...well maybe in a few months or a year then =)

I would expect that support should be at least as good as on the 645Z, K-3II, or K-S2, meaning SD/SDHC/SDXC.

Perhaps on some bodies, but not on current models with regard to capacity. Bus speed is another matter. IIRC, the K-3/K-3II, K-S2, and 645Z all feature a UHS-1 bus.

I found this information relevant to K-3.... K-3 Memory Card Q&A | Ricoh Imaging Support

So it seems like 128 GB is supported in case of SDXC cards made by SanDisk.

Then I would say K-1 won't be any worse.

Any card that conforms to the SDXC standard shouldn't be a problem. 128Gb should work fine (I tested a 64Gb card without any issues).

I would interpret that as AT LEAST 128gb, it seems those tests are from a few years back so it's possible that 128 gb was the largest that existed back then to test with. (But then again, as discussed in another thread the K1 has usb-2 and the k3 has usb 3 so it's not a given that all specs are "higher")

Edit (again): Sorry Adam, meant to quote the post above yours =)

I know, I just meant that there was another "spec" that was "lower" on the newer K1 (am also aware that actual transfer speeds may not differ or even be faster in K1 if the k3 has a slow bus or other limits in spite of this etc...)

It is my understanding that it is both larger and heavier and has lower framerate than the APS-C models...not good...

Since the K3 I have runs a pair of 64 gb cards no problem I can't imagine a newer camera like this having any problems with those and much larger ones.
