Just noticed the Pentax site has has an update on the K1 page, there is quite a bit more detail in the Specs page and some quite good sample images.

The floral still life: Pull up the hi-res of the pixel-shift version, enlarge the yellow/orange rose that is third one down from the top, between some blue & white flowers and some magenta or reddish thing, and look at the texture on the petals. And the image was taken with a 28~105 "kit lens." I am impressed.

What does the magnification "50mmF1.4 at infinity" mean? And what is Eye-relief length?

Magnification Approx. 0.70x (50mmF1.4 at infinity)
Eye-Relief Length Approx. 20.6mm (from the view window), Approx. 21.7mm (from the center of lens)

The "relief" is the distance between the lens surface of the viewfinder and the eye.

Can someone explain what they mean under the "specification" tab, near the bottom, where they estimate the number of pictures that would fit on a 8GB card.
There they state:

My guess, since it says "In-body raw data development" is that they re-processed the files in camera for jpeg output with the version 1.0 firmware.

Perhaps a leftover from the 645z page? And a typo?

Earlier on the page it says:

LOL, very weird. Those dimensions do indeed come out to be 51 megapixels so it seems unlikely to be a straight typo. But what is it?

Seems like it should be the capacity for 15 megapixel cropped raw files. The proportions seem about right (288 vs. 101 shots). But those dimensions...

EDIT: Ahhh, enoeske has it. Those are 645z dimensions.

Who says that the pixel shift will be equivalent with 42 Mp was joking. Maybe 62 Mp, maybe more.

I've made some pixel peeping at 200%, and are awesome. The difference in resolution is simply, huge.

Please, remember, all next files are at 200%, from original, at 1920x1050 size, without any intervention from my part.

PS. by affraid, those images was not uploaded at full size, so, better compare it yourself.

PPS. I have made another set of comparison images, this time at 1400x700, still 200%, side by side, but cropped a little from the 1920x1080. Because i've did not uploaded some images from a long time here, I forget how to do it to make it pop up with a click, at full size.
