I quite like the look of that - I don't think there's anything embarrassing about it. I'm not sure I'd use it, but it looks like a fun feature, and so long as it doesn't get in the way of the basic shooting features, I'd have no problem with it being included. While the K-1 may be a professional grade camera, it's going to have a wide user base - from inexperienced amateurs right the way through to professionals. It needs to have a feature set that will appeal to as many of those as possible. There are plenty of features on the K-3 and K-3II that I find superfluous, so I simply choose not to use them. It's great they are there for others, though.
