Indeed. Dont unvail the master plan lest you wish to unravel it.

In the short term ill get a lens to cover the wide angle hole left by my tamron 17-50. Probably an F 24-50/4.

Eventually hope to get a wide angle prime. A new normal prime with sient focus. A new flash. And my aging 2008 macbook makes the list as well. But all of this will taoe significant time to accuire.

Will probably end up getting the $110 extended warranty.
Peak Design Slide Strap ( have a black one for my K-3 and I plan to get a blue one for the K-1)
I'll probably get the D FA 28-105 shortly to use as a walkaround lens (assuming the reviews are good)

Going to wait on SDHC cards because I already have 2 32GB and I'm hoping they'll be enough.
Already have 3 batteries and I have no intention of getting the battery grip as I'm already worried about size/weight.

Already bought a new Zeiss Distagon t* 35mm f/2 and an 85mm Planar t* 1.4. The 70-200 is next on the list, then a samyang 135. I'd love to know if the o-em53 magnifying eye cup will both cover and fit the k-1, as I'd love to make the view even larger. Looks like I'll need a bigger camera bag as well. Gosh, 36mp... More hard drives.... A 4th job perhaps?

Love to see how those Zeiss perform.

You and me both! I've had somewhat of a taster seeing the files from the d800/e/810 with these lenses. My oh my I was impressed. If its any measure, it's going to be something to look forward to in pentax's offering.

Do it now before something horrific happens. In fact, buy two.
Got a portable 3 terabyte hard drive and also use my computer to load RW CD's. I usually carry 30 or 40 RW CD's on any trip I take.

I maybe add the grip to my order, and maybe the 28-105 as walkaround WR lens, if money is available after april20, i could forget the 28-105 and better buy the dfa70-200.

K-1 and grip, D-FA 15-30, 24-70 and 70-200 plus 1.4x telecoverter comes to £6124 in the UK.

Ideally, it would be that lot to go with the existing FA31/43/77, M50/1.7, Revuenon 55/1.2, K50/1.2, D-FA 100 Macro, K-3 . . .

but . . .

Work is bad so far this year, income is down 50%+ and got other priorities like shoes for the kids, food and water perhaps new brakes for the 13 year old VW.

Those new lens prices will have to fall in line with their Tamron counterparts first and the 70-200 to much less than £1850.

Might pick up a K-1 this time next year.

Why? You don’t think I can manage with a few percent slower editing? Or don’t already have enough spare primary storage and backup storage space? (I prefer quality over quantity)

Got a 4ghz i7 Clevo with 32gb RAM and GTX980M 8GB graphics card, twin 1TB SSD's but Lightroom has become slow and unstable of late even after a factory reset of the laptop and complete reinstall. The laptop goes into overdrive, fans go berserk and it often crashes when processing an A7r RAW file.

I have opted to go for the associated costs first and buy the K-1 later as it fits better in my financial planning. So I bought a shiny new 27 inch iMac, 3tb fusion drive, a 6tb external hard drive for back ups and a FA43 1.9 so far. The FA31mm is on my wish list and the new wide angle prime lens. If that last lens comes available the time to buy the K-1 is there! And whilst I am waiting I enjoy the previously mentioned updates to my gear on my k-5 and K-3.

That doesn't sound good. Well, so far, LR has been manageable for me with K-3 files. Just a tiny bit slow. I recently upped the LR Camera Raw cache size from the default 20 GB to 100 GB and am hoping this new RAM will help. Haven't tried it out yet, just installed the RAM last night.
