K-1 USA Shipping Date

Well, I've no idea of course. And you would think these things are simple but in practice there are more variables involved. I'm sure they are shipping in some order, but what order are they using? Maybe international orders get priority because the international shipping pickup is 1pm and domestic is 4pm? Maybe they based there shipping on an expected number of units but they got shorted. Maybe the 'on floor' sales team grabbed a bunch out of stock and the online sales team got shorted. Maybe part of the delivery was damaged in transit. Maybe people who paid for next day or two day shipping get bumped up. Maybe they prioritize orders to west coast because they need to meet a three day shipping window.

Who knows.

Yes, the wait is finally over. Many will receive their K-1 today too

At the mean time, I need put this major distraction somewhere in my office so that I can concentrate on my work....

Oh my, I am just drooling. I have been having K-1 dreams, I can barely stand the wait. This is hard to take.

Mine arrived (Boston area) from B&H today at 3:19pm, shipped yesterday, ordered on February 17.

It's heavy.

The autofocus sure looks more sophisticated than my K-5, pretty smart about picking a bunch of focus points. Hmm, but not always that smart...

Focusing screen looks absolutely permanent, the bright thing that shows in the lens mount is not a clip holding it in place.

Took some shots with the FA* 77, which I'd said would be the first lens on it. Got a keeper of my wife.

Canceled B&H. My local Dealer has them in stock and put one aside. I'll have it tonight.
