They sure did have one go up in smoke in Norway. The press on it was super interesting, I even watched the video.

Of course as a percentage of Teslas on the road, it turns out to be some amazingly fractional ratio against gas cars bursting into flames; strangely those don't seem to make the news.

May have to work up a comparison to help this fit your experience.. It could be like running out of gas and gumming up the carburetor jets or leaving that ignition switch on but engine not cranked and pitting the distributor points. Or, maybe those troubles were wives' tales...

Hopefully, there will be some little mouse battery stored under a floor mat and this will keep things perking until the update is complete. This could be analogous to the coat hanger I kept wrapped up behind my bumper as a spare key. The original 'hide-a-key' :^|

How do these charging stations work? Do people swipe a card to pay for the electricity they use?

I wonder if these first charging stations will be collector's items like old gas pumps with the globe on top..?

we just need the K-1 to start shipping so the forum can come alive with "My K-1 is worse than my K-x" or "What's wrong with my K-1" threads.

we've lost our sense of impending pentax doom
I have spent my time as profitably as possible by preparing several complaint posts.
I created a fill-in-the-blank template that may be helpful to others wishing to get a jump on things.

LOLOL. That's a good thought. If I can find some locally, I am going to have an Asahi beer when I unbox my K-1.

We have one day left for a pre-Passover miracle! We could call it Pentaxodus!

If the cameras arrived tomorrow they could ship a bunch out on Thursday before they shut down shop... Pray for Pentaxodus!

O Lord Our God Takuma,

Free us this night from this oppression at the hands of the Canonnites.

We seek not vengeance against Nikonus, nor the iPhonites; but grant this night our prayer the first-borne shipment from Pharoah Sonymous should be passed over by discerning photographers, who know that less is not more.

Grant King Unum and his tribe thereby our time of plenty, and freedom from trolls, and charlatans who proclaim PiD.

All these things we ask in humble supplication, knowing even so we can twist our Moonlander and shoot from the floor.

Amen

Well, the full-frame 15mm Pentax primes of yore weren't exactly tiny up the front end, so it's really no surprise to see that a 15-30 f/2.8 zoom is a bit of a behemoth and not on the cheap side either. I'm glad I neither NEED one nor really WANT one.
