Sounds like the only real cure might be for Pentax to release new D FA lenses faster
That certainly would be a kindness many would benefit from.

Precisely and specifically, who are all these people to whom you refer?
You know...all those people.

The guy who has issues with getting his camera fixed has gone way beyond the 3 weeks you are talking about. Also he was told by Precision that the part was back ordered, then he contacted Ricoh US who told him they had the parts.
Read the thread again, Mike, and sort out the actual times from the feared times.

Big enough that when you have bankrupted yourself buying it and lost your house & all but the clothes on your back, the box can be your new home.

Ewww... if your wet dreams are about mounting lenses, you're doing it wrong.

You're supposed to polish your lens.

I wouldn't worry about it. Time to start looking at the next full frame model. The one with a bright 100% magnification viewfinder that includes optical focusing aids for manual focus lenses. It will have a pop up tilt and swivel head flash with a guide number of 165. And an accessory satellite that will hover around the camera to feed it GPS information when it is deployed. It will have a fiber optic link to tether it to a computer so nobody will be able to complain about transfer speed. It will respond to voice commands too. It's audio and visual components will rival that found in the latest professional AV equipment. On top of that it will take clear photographs of both bigfoot and UFO's.

It's battery will last for at least 10,000 photographs when the flash and GPS are both deployed and it will recharge in 5 minutes. If you drop the camera when the satellite is deployed a sensor on the satellite will detect this, and use it's built in tractor beam to gently set the camera undamaged in the ground. But be forewarned this will only work with lenses smaller than 500mm f4.5.

The sensor will be a game changer too. The pixels will be randomly placed on the sensor. This will eliminate annoying artifacts like purple fringe and moire. All I can say about it is that it will be more than 199 megapixels and less that 201 megapixels. It will be about 5% larger than the K1 but will weigh 10% less. There will be several other features too, but I am not at liberty to disclose them at this time.

Does 'PC' = 'Pentax-centric' ?

I was waiting on "the K-1 release euphoric state" to be riffed

I have several times spent the night with my camera but only when it was safer for us to sleep cuddled up together. I didn't want to wake and find my camera had been kidnapped by PC bandits.

I have not read all the responses, but I wondered immediately how the first post headline should be read. Is it: "K1 Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome," or is it "K1 Post, Traumatic Stress Syndrome?" In other words, will be be stressed after the K1 is available, or are we being stressed now by K1 posts?

There's always the 645z successor that should be out (in full frame?) in the next several years. A new obsession for your edification :-) .
