One thing to keep in mind is that even with good intentions of hitting a specific date customs can hold up a shipment and on one has any control over that. Some of the uncertainty might just be the variability of the unloading, and customs process.

And we have seen actual release delays in the past.

mine was preorder #2 in Holland--Fotolooman..so don't think it helped..have to wait

& time to get rest of $$ together

The information I have been told indicates Ricoh UK webstore shipments will be in customer hands around 15th-18th April with some variability so around a week to wait! This tallies with what SRS have said.

Spoke to SRS today and they are now saying delivery to Richo Europe 25th with drop to them sometime that week and they now dont know if they will be able to satisfy their pre orders.

Just wait i guess and see what hsppens.

Just read notification from SRS Microsystems (UK) on Pentax User that they should receive K-1s, grips, 15-30 and 28-105s by Wednesday (possibly even tomorrow).
Hoping my preorder is fulfilled (i preordered on day 1).

That is good news!

The last email I had from SRS (several days ago) said that they were expecting them towards the end of this week. Perhaps that was to manage my expectations.

I asked about pre-orders. I too pre-ordered on day 1. They said "All being well we should be getting enough to fulfil all of our pre-orders, but you are amongst the first on our list - so even if we don't get the full amount you should be OK."

I hope the same applies to you!

(I pre-ordered the K-1, the grip, and both of those lenses. Obviously I hope to get them all within days. But you can guess what my priority is! And I don't mean "the grip").

Mine has been paid for for more than a week. That's because I wanted to take the discounted lens away early. So I think my K1 should be safe.

They confirm that all K1 preorders will be satisfied on their first drop from Ricoh.

Grips will be delayed though as they told me in a mail asking for payment.

Feeling excited and poor!
