Nordic and Baltic countries delivery on K-1

Tomorrow, friday, Fotokungen will recieve 3 Pentax K-1s. ... And since I am #2 on the list I am a happy camper. Now the big problem I face is if I can hold it until the mailman comes on monday or if I am going to travel 200 miles to pick it up... Well, I will wait for the mailman but it is tempting to take the car and save the weekend.

Cyberphoto will also recieve a batch but I do not know the amount.

Tempting? I'd be in the car already. Of course it's 35 miles to the grocery store where I live............

I seriously do not know how to do... I probably will go... But then I no more can say that people camping outside Apple stores, waiting for a new model to be released, are stupid and I don't know if I can live with that.

As distances go out here, yeah fairly close. About 3 hour drive I guess. Been through there a few times. Pretty area but definitely 'fly over' country. One of those places that make all the hustle and bustle of the city seem very far away.

No, no. This is not the same as camping. For that you have go now and sleep in your car tonight. Or take a tent and setup in front of their door. But you should have done that last week.

Going now is just saving them the postage, so it is a good thing, yes? And you would not want the camera in post truck bounce around, it is just good sense to make sure it is safe.

Wohoooo my one came tomorrow with the 24-70. I was really suprised, never thought I will receive it so early

- Sadly I had no time to play with it, because of a stupid deadline at my university >_<

But today the weather looks promising and I got the K1 with me to university and will take a walk through a park on my way home this evening to see if I can find something to capture

Wish you guys the best for early delivery, too!!!

I headed to Cyberphots homepage and they had a blogpost saying that the Pentax K-1 was heading their way and that they had a few to spare.

First (very early) impressions: OK, it's bigger. But not that much bigger, feels very comfortable in my hand. Heavier, yes. But still quite possible to carry (says he who have carried it for several minutes). Easy to use, I haven't opened the manual yet but have made the basic setting to my liking. Menues are easy to navigate and much like the K5's. Lovely to see the full angel of view with the A15mm and FA 35mm lenses. Some more serious shooting tomorrow.
