K1 RAW files

Hi Guys;

very close to the announcement, DP Review had several RAW files on their samples gallery that were taken down the next day. I played with a few files but didnt save any. I would like to show a friend (D810 guy) the latitude those files had.

Anyone know of a place where K1 RAW's can be downloaded, or if someone has them that I could get?

Many thanks,
K

I manage to save 2 files at high ISO (the 2 that grab my interest), but you must understand they are made from a preproduction camera, without final firmware and you can expect anything could be changed from this RAW to the ones the final product can made; is better to wait for samples once the camera is release, that being said heres a link for the files

If you scroll down to the bottom of this German page, there is a link to a pile of K-1 DNG's you can download as a ZIP archive:

Some of the early high iso raw files that where available had extreme banding issues, so much that they were in fact useless. Yet, and this is really weird considering we are looking for super high quality pictures, some people didn’t even seem to notice it.

Thanks guys!!!

These seem to be 8 bit files. So cannot see the file latitude, but can assess noise which is good. Were there any 14bit raw's released?

thanks for sharing!!! I copied them in one folder and duplicated them to see how my mac will actually handle the workload of 16 36mpx DNG files... Its a bit slower than on my K5 II but I would say quite manageable. But in some situations I will dismiss the usage of Raw from now on I think

Last week-end I was invited by Ricoh Imaging Europe to a K-1 discovery walk in Paris (France).
We were 6 people from 3 french forums and a guide, each one was lent a K-1 with a lens.
So I have many DNGs to share, most of them taken with a DFA 28-105mm or my A 20/2.8, some with my DA* 300/4, some with my FA 50/1.4 and a few with the DFA 15-30/2.8, my tammy 90/2.8 macro Di or my FA 77/1.8.

The firmware is version 1 AFAIR.
What kind of DNG do you need?

By the way if you can wait 2 weeks more you'll get as much as DNGs K-1 files as you want

Tryphon4: That's awesome.

Can you please send me a landscape @ 100iso and another at 25,600 or 12,800 iso DNG. Would prefer the landscape with 1530, and high iso with 28105 if possible. I am interested in high DR shots where I want to see how much the file can be stretched before there is pattern noise. So an underexposed shot would also be helpful at 100 iso.

No I cannot wait 2 weeks

Thank you again!!!

Aye, but just think how you'll blow them out of the water once you get hands on.

I wouldn't get too excited over RAW files from pre-production firmware modules. Those would have been posted in violation of agreements with Ricoh in the first place.

Wait a few more days when the production models get into people's hands.

We were in Paris so i don't have landscapes. I probably have a 25600ISO photo, will sort the files to find it.
I did not do HDR this week-end, maybe my fellows did some.

I confirm that i used a production model, not a preproduction one. The cameras arrived on Friday 14th, they are not intended to be sold but will serve during Pentax days.

This photo is taken at 25600ISO, it is not a landscape and is underexposed:
