C1 is supposed to be about the colors

I like them too.
And it's just a "generic" profile

I like it as well. The colours are definitely more correct than the standard JPG colours.

However, PhaseOne did not really provide their own colour profile. They just used the one that is embedded in DNG files. I would be interested in the profile they could come up with themselves. Perhaps they will provide one in the future.

Someone at DPReview stated that PhaseOne is planning PixelShift support for the K-1 but that it will take time to implement it properly. This sounds very encouraging. It would be great if we did not have to go via the Pentax-provided DCU software to properly render PixelShift images.

You can work with DNG raw files of K1 in CO Pro 9.1.1 - I tested it - didn't realize any problems.
C1 versions from 9.2 and later support .PEF files as well.

Their support for the base raw is very good, however, their lack of support for Pixel Shift is a great disappointment. Looking like this may not happen as Ver 10 did not pick it up.

Greatest single issue with pixel shift is the lack of a good raw conversion.

I would love to see C1 support pixel shift as their tool set and work flow is excellent.

Why Supports C1 the Pentax K-1 but don't support the tethering function of the K-1 :-(
