Articulating Cowboys

I might be just overly envious, but I'm pulling my hair out every time I see someone swinging the K-1 from its LCD screen. I saw the first preproduction model being tested this way to show its durability....but now every new unboxing and review video geek is doing this.

Stop it! That's not its purpose!

I don't know if I have the self control to keep from slapping someone if I see them do this.

It really is as sturdy as it looks, though!

I think that's a foldable handle for camera transportation... that it has an LCD on it, it's just a coincidence.

I was kind of hoping to see some action shots of rodeo riders taken using a K1 here. Oh well.....😉

Make sure that you do have someone nearby recording that event, for all of us here.

I hadn't considered that as an option... until now.

The footage I want to see is the person's reaction when the LCD support fails when they're doing this.

(Yes, I'm envious, jealous, bitter & twisted that I don't have a K-1 (yet))

I want to see someone mount a D-FA*70~200 on the K-1 and swing it around from the other side.

Unless the camera mount fails first

They are quite tiny screws that hold everything on, aren't they. I wonder about the flash hotshoe, flashes seem to get bigger and heavier all the time.

The behavior you mention is one reason to buy a new copy of the K-1 and not go used.. it will surely have been abused in testing. Much like you never buy a sports car that was once a rental.. because you know it was ridden hard and put away wet.

And on the request side, I want to see someone get shot out of a cannon while holding a K-1 (and taking pictures mid flight).

I wonder how long before someone post and complain about how the handle broke of and the camera fell off (into the pool)? Complaining about the crapy camera gear etc etc.
