Worth waiting for...

Came with the post today. The body, not the lenses. Been waiting for a long time, me and the glass. So many lenses to try out again...

Congrats, Douglas!
I have had mine since Friday. It's really fun to use FF lenses seeing FF field of view. And the IQ is really amazing, all my fears for older lenses being obsolete are gone. The rest has been told in so many threads and postings.

The viewfinder is a bit dangerous....gives me vertigo...like looking into an ME Super, MX, Supera-A or so. And the viewfinder has a lot of action going on that I don't understand yet....focus points etc. Must read the manual....

I think that has been a surprise to many who came to believe the gloom and doom about older lenses not performing adequately on high megapixel FF. Good to hear that the K-1 is removing those doubts.

I am so excited at the prospect of trying the FA*200mm f/2.8 and FA*300mm f/4.5 with it. I've loved their image quality on APS-C. I suspect they will be gorgeous when used with the K-1.

I used my F* 300mm f4.5, and it works very well. Super fast and accurate AF, super sharp and crispy images. I was a bit unprepared, though, how narrow the DOF is. I'll have to learn to stop down.

Going to try the FA*300/4.5 today...and the F fisheyezoom 17-28mm...and I need to take out the A and A* lenses too. The A*135mm f1.8 foremost! It will be busy days. Today my work colleagues will have to live with me bringing the K-1 to all work meetings....and then we.have a long-weekend, four days with very promissing weather forecast. Excellent timing!

Just the autofocus lenses. Missing are some F zoom lenses, and my Sigmas.

You shouldn't waste your time with such old relics. Get yourself the new 28-105, its allegedly very sharp and has fast autofocus. You can send that old lens to me, I'll pay shipping Deal?
