It's striking how compact the K-1 appears in that image, particularly standing alongside lenses that are compact in themselves.
With compact lenses, the camera is quite portable. It's great that Pentax gives us such a nice variety of legacy lenses to choose from.

When you hold the K-3 and K-1 both in your hand you can definitely tell the difference. The K-1 is bigger in every way, but it is still a very compact FF camera and a very good value. The K-1 is more refined in every way. From the menus to the AF it just a big step up from the K-3.

The K-1 is easily ten times better than the K-01. Now the naming makes sense: they meant K-0.1
I was referring to having pre-ordered the K-01 - and admitting it - and the weeks of scorn and derision afterward.

Terrible that you outed yourself, Monochrome, and it didn't go well.

Just kidding. Can't believe how maligned that camera was, given all its qualities.

As is a Pentaxian to a CaNikonian, so is a K-01 user to a Pentaxian.

So far I like what I see. The New King looks very good with all this Legacy Glass, as if it was made for it.

I eagerly await the moment that I can finally embrace this awesome tool, and try to milk my best from it.

Soon.

Soon.
It's a great camera. Must get one soon.

Pentax FA 28-105mm PZ is a very nice lens. Sharp but heavy.

Pentax F 35-70mm is very light and sharp. I like it a lot!

Pentax A 24-50mm feels right at home on K1. That build quality is so good in the hands and it's sharp lens as well.

Pentax FA* 24mm f2 is the bomb. I love the rendering

As already stated elsewhere, not of great artistical value ...

... but surely of great expectations.

I'm sure they will. The serial number card for the current K-1's already specifies "black body kit", so it's only a matter of time
I want one of those gunmetal prestige editions. Unfortunately, I couldn't hold out long enough to wait for it. Perhaps the next body will have one and entice me to upgrade then!

Aye, I think he was actually referring to my "Ladies" being my lenses... but that focal length with FF, well that'll now be my “Gorgeous Lady” (SMC Pentax-A* 200mm F2.8 ED) pushed into service.

I used to do a fair bit of street work with my “Mistress" (SMC Pentax-A 15mm F3.5) and "Good Lady” (SMC Pentax-A 20mm F2.8), so I suppose now that will now fall to my “Friendly Lady” (SMC Pentax-A 24mm F2.8) and "Special Lady” (SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.2) in their place.
