K1 + K50/1.4

Looks like your shiny new K-1 has one of those "scratches" from a Sigma lens.

Kind of like a badge of honor.

And a scar on fine leather.

Nice.

I think that is part of the K-1's design.

I got the scratch when I tried in a sigma 150-500. Before I saw the advisory from sigma

But that line you see is part of the K1 design. Between that line and the top of the mount is a small scratch. If you view at 100%, you can really see the small line.

That line is part of the design?

It's like an 8r yr old whom underlies everything in their notebook?

That Big line is part of the design but I have a tiny scratch just above the lens mount. Not noticeable

What's the one on the left? must be the 28-105? How is that lens? A lot more compact than the others so I could see that being a useful walk-around when you don't want to hump a bag-o-lenses around.

I now have 3 of the 5: the 15-30, 24-70 and 150-450. I still have the 60-250, so will be trying that this weekend to see how it works or whether that has to go in favor of the 70-200.

I am super impressed by the 15-30, absolutely fantastic lens. if only i could get my lee filter in front of it . The 24-70 is plenty good though maybe not quite exceptional. And I am really impressed with the 150-450, very sharp though I haven't been able to really try it out at the longer end yet.

All I'll say is the 70-200mm is probably the sharpest zoom Pentax has ever made. It redefines the meaning of "corner to corner". A bit bulky, though, and could be designed more ergonomically.

It's very good, especially when you keep lens corrections on. Impressively sharp, too. I'd say the main downsides are not being as wide as the 24-70mm an a dark viewfinder, especially at F5.6, due to vignetting and the aperture itself.

Eh, I thought a big part of the 'Amigos' was a balance between size and weight, as well. While that looks like a fun lineup, you're kind of throwing weight out of the window on this one.

Well you guys are right. I just assumed that the cut was from one of the Sigma lenses that were noted to have interference with the camera.

Seems odd that Pentax would include a relief in the pentaprism housing like that. It is like they knew there would be clearance issues with some lenses and added that small crescent shaped relief.

Why not simply design the shape to better accommodate larger diameter lenses?
