Battery grip with 6 AA's (maximum weight) the 28-105mm get less shutter shock on the K1 in the critical shutter-speeds.

On the upside, I do shoot a lot of portrait (the orientation, not the genre) and it'd be nice to have an AA battery option for emergencies.

On the downside, money.

So, grip users: do you feel the K-1 benefits from having it?
I've bought the original grip with my K1 for 2 main reasons, It really improves handling while portraits shootings and I also don't need to buy Pentax batteries and so I can use my Eneloop AA batteries.
