In addition to the lenses mentioned by Noel, the DFA*70-200 and a slew of autofocus wide primes (FA20, FA*24, F28) will be there, and quite likely by then either a DFA15-30 or DFA24-70.

I will look into the logistics of a video feed. Not something I have done, but it can't be that hard can it?

I've no idea, but I just think it would be a really fun and cool thing to do, it would further join all the members here in the Pentax spirit of camaraderie.

A bit a problem though... getting to the free pizzas and beer (I added the beer bit, cos I believe it was only pizzas on offer).

Do I need to send the DA *60-250 back to you?

Well, get onto the ABC. This year is the 50th anniversary of the first satellite telecast into Australia (between the UK and Oz).

See Australia's first ever live televised overseas broadcast - 80 Days That Changed Our Lives - ABC Archives.

I worked at Carnarvon Satellite Earth Station 1971-72

I have good ADSL2. etc..... so can be done..... but no live feed of tossing the pizza bases.....

Also.....have you ordered both?

We could do a field trip to the river as well...... weather is looking ok.

Given Sandy is bringing most of his Pentax stuff...... then some thoughts are

1. K50/1.2 v's A50/1.2
2. Sigma 70-200/2.8 v's DFA 70-200/2.8
3. Red Wine v's Pale Ale as a Pizza accompaniment

All the big issues. Fiery words might be exchanged, but stay civilized, guys!

Nah! I recently tried a Pale Ale as our daughter's boyfriend drinks it. Terrible stuff, I went back to red wine.

That's either a buddy movie or a sitcom in the making.

The vs. suggests you intend to declare a winner, which is a bad attitude. Comparison rather than competition is called for.

You need both 50's
You need both zooms
You need both libations

Yes, but having his huge lens collection to try out on the K-1, and the testing bench besides, should be more than enough compensation for any true Pentaxian. And surely there are enough good pizza houses in Adelaide that some alternative solution should be possible?

You're putting pizza ahead of lenses? Jeez, what sort of photographer are you?

Google Hangouts is a reasonable option for a laptop with a webcam.
If Sandy wants to try it out as a test I can work with him before the big event.
I'm partial to a good lager with pizza.
