Samyang / Rokinon 85mm on K-1?

Has anyone posted images with the newer bunch manual focus off-brands lenses? I'm thinking of the 85mm's, but there may be others that are peoples favourites.

My need is for an 85mm, but wider than 24mm is also interesting.

Is there another thread for this already?

I think Samyang 8mm and 10mm and 16mm are not FF. The 14mm, 24mm, 35mm, 85mm, 50mm, 100mm macro, and 135mm are FF. You can find sample photos of these lenses on many FF cameras, from Canon, Nikon, and Sony; as well as FF reviews about vignetting, CA, distortion, edge resolution.
So while you wait for test shots of these lenses on K-1, you can look at their FF performance in other systems. Considering they use the same optics regardless of mount, it should be a good indication. Especially if you look at camera like D800E, D810, as it has practically the same sensor as K-1.

Thx! The 14mm and 85mm might be in the cards for me. Probably the 85mm first...

The 14mm is brilliant. Don't have any shots with mine that showcase corner-to-corner performance, but it's a very dependable ultra-wide combination.

Oh, one more thing. There is a Samyang lens club thread on these forums. You can search for it, its full of great photos and discussion about these lenses. Talks about pros (stunning image quality on pretty much all of them) as well as cons (QC, decentering, manual focus headaches)

For that lens, plan on using one of O-ME53 magnifier, live view with focus peaking, or focus confirmation.

It was bugging me that there were no pics in this thread so I quick grabbed some tonight with my 85mm Bower. JPGs straight from the camera. I'm not a lens tester or anywhere close to an advanced user but I think they at least give you a good idea as to what you can expect.

In order:
F 1.8
F 2.2
F 8
F 3.2
F 7.1

Thanks! That answers a lot of questions. But basically it looks like a pleasing setup. Where it's sharp it's sharp, and the bokeh, especially the bright OOF spots, are even and without bright edges. I think we found a winner!

Just keep in mind thats going to be a very heavy lens on a very heavy camera. I have the 85mm and 35mm's and they're both beasts.

But to think what the 35mm could do on a full frame makes me absolutely drool. The K-1 may not get to me soon due to finances, but it will get to me at some point...
