AF is much faster and more accurate and without the annoying hunting in and out of the K-3. Just my $0.02.
darn, after buying the K3 I hate hearing this

Randy, the K-3 with the Bigmos without the TC does a pretty good job of AF. I suspect that the reduced light using the TC is what makes the AF hunt. What I need is a 750mm f/2.8 and someone to carry it around for me.

Too bad we can't get a F to K mount adapter with pass through and buy the Nikon Telephotos. But then if I decide to buy one of those lenses the added cost of the D500 is incidental.

On the plus side, the newest crop high end bodies should have some (all ?) of the AF technology in them too.. But by then maybe the next FF with mondo-uber AF improvements will be on the horizon. It never ends..

I'm looking forward to upgrades, but am more so appreciating what I have in the here and now..
