Rest assured, we are the hipsterist hipsters... many of us loved Pentax before it wasn't cool and before it was cool again.

There's a great Marge Simpson quote about not needing other people to tell you you're cool, but I can't find it.....

I found the disclaimer funny too, TCS is generally favourable towards Pentax products (645Z, K-3, K-S2, MX-1,Q), sometimes not but with reason (K-01, K-S1)
Pentax is still an oldschool brand in their eyes, not really following market trends (or with delay) and I guess they would like to see Pentax making some serious efforts in the mirrorless/video area, so they poke a bit every now and then..

I guess its easy to go into NEEEERDRAGE mode when a canon or nikon shooter gets the job to review a Pentax camera and then complains about things thats actually there if they bothered to read the manual, or shift through the menu, or ask a pentax user. GOD
And they complain about button layout when every pentax shooter would complain about that if they picked a nikon up. It takes time to get used to a new camera layout. OK!!!
Autofocus is terrible, we used standard settings AF.C we didnt bother try any of the fancy new modes because we are lazy. DEAL WITH IT
Oh, yeah, we use a subpar lens on pentax image tests. We cant be bothered to actually do research first. People will say pentax is soft compared to the competition (that also had sharpening on them apparently, god, everyone makes mistakes). But we fixed the sharpening thing now, after everyone has come to a conclution. Maby we will do it right next time pentax releases a camera. Maby...
Oh you camera exposes to preserv highlights, well according to me they look dull, you should accept blown highlights because i LIKE MY PHOTOS BRIGHT.

Did I miss anything? Not talking about TCS review

It's a joke! I've watched almost every TCSTV episode and Chris Niccolls is very fair to Pentax. Actually I would even dare say he is something of a Pentax and Ricoh fan, although not a "fanboy" by any means, as his criticisms are pretty fair assessments, IMO.

Jordan Drake is a PF member here and occasionally posts.

I'm sure they are reading this now and the irony of this thread is not lost on them.

I genuinely thought it was a joke (and an obvious one, at that). Pretty funny too. C'mon, we have to be able to laugh at ourselves

The fact that some people don't get the joke makes the joke even funnier! Thanks Ron!

Well that didn't took long. You really forgot that personal attacs like this one is where the warning is all about. Fine with me, I don't mind.

The reviewers were making a joke, Ron, but you jumped all over for it for whatever personal reasons. Now *that's* funny.

About six hours, actually, so it did take a while.

They're just teasing you for fun, Ron. Don't take it seriously

Glad to see I'm not the only one who laughed at the disclaimer.

Actually, I'm thinking the disclaimer might have conned non-Pentaxians into watching the entire video so they could use whatever negative comments they thought they would hear on forums to shoot down Pentaxians and their "over-hyped" camera. Now that'd be some fine trolling right there.

Over the years Pentaxians have been very loyal and defensive, especially when we feel that a camera review is deemed unfair by the community. Chris at the Camera Store I am sure seen these responses and even may have been the recipient in times past. As for me I thought the warning was great and is clearly an acknowledgement that there is a very loyal base out here in the so called wilderness.
