K-1 files seem to pretty ISO invariant. I often shoot two or three EV's lower ISO than I probably should and deliberately underexpose if I need the shutter speed or depth of field. I'd much rather push two stops than be half a stop blown in the highlights.

So for spontaneous stuff I often stay at 100-400 outdoors, with whatever other settings I want, and work around it later. Live music in poorly lit venues I might go to 1600 or even 6400.

I did a handheld ISO test shoot. Yes , should have been on a tripod but I was lazy and this way I figured I could also do some SR testing..

With K1 I can use 1600-2000 for birds if needed & still clean..even 5000-10000 has worked for some(web size of course)..amazed at the low noise on K1..need high ISO at times as must keep shutter high-- 1600 sec or more with DFA 150-450..SR don't really help at that length(450) i find
