Did Anyone Get Extended Warranty on their K-1? If so where & how much?

I've had my K-1 for a few weeks. Can I still order it? Or do they go by the date it was pre-ordered?

I think you have 30 days, but check the website. Pentax Extended Warranty for Advanced ADVWARRANTY-ADVILC B&H

The count of days starts from when you bought the camera. For most pre-orders, this would be when you were charged when it was shipped to you. Some people paid at time of pre-order but I don't think this is typical.

Is there a pro or con which make one better over the other. I can think of a few off hand.

Ricoh/Pentax

1. Cost more.
2. Have to send it to Precision. (Way to many problems with these folks)
3. ?

New Leaf

1. Cost less
2. Seems to have more options.
3. ?

Do you have to buy it from the same retailer? I have my Amazon order coming in tomorrow, so do I have to buy it from Amazon or can I buy it from B&H or another retailer?

I bought my K-1 direct from Ricoh and my extended warranty through B&H. I checked with Ricoh and it is fine. They said to make sure you keep the original camera receipt, the warranty receipt and the extended warranty card to ensure coverage.
