Good to know. By the way is the PP to correct for vignetting or something else?

Very encouraging though, maybe there is life for me 20-40 if I upgrade from my k30 to the k1

This is very interesting. I liked the look of this lens, but never considered getting it because the equivalent FoV on APS-C of 30-60mm didn't fit well with my type of photography. In fact, I have a Sigma 20-40mm f2.8 from my film days that I never used after I went digital. Now the lens looks much more attractive to me, given a usable range starting with 24 mm (a bit wider with some cropping), and the fact that it's less bulky than the Sigma, and it's weather resistant.

So I thought some other examples might help folk see how the 20-40 performs on the K-1. These are just some shots I grabbed this evening, to PP other than the cropped samples. First set is at 40mm, starting at f4 and each stopped down 1 stop to f11. The more the lens is stopped down at 40mm, the worse the vignetting (BTW, removed the hood for these to minimize vignette).

The second set is at 20mm, again starting at f2.8 thru f11. Least vignetting seems to be f5.6 or f8 at 20mm. In all cases, 1:1 crops appear OK, and some 4x5 or even 4x3 can be achieved with a bit of work.

For me, I don't think it's a keeper so I'll be putting this one for sale, but within limitations looks like you can get usable results.
