I just got the Tamron on Monday and have taken maybe a couple dozen shots with it on my K1. It is crazy sharp, fast to focus, and has great color.....nothing to dislike about it that I can see.
I wanted the Pentax but I need other FF lenses too, and the Tamron is dirt cheap for a lens of this quality. I doubt the idiot that reviewed the Pentax has any credibility outside his circle of non-Pentax followers....my guess.
The price was my only objection...if that doesn't bother you, it has better features than the Tamron...you may or may not need?

Tamron after sundown...

It's not a wildlife lens really, but it was fast enough for the very dim light so I gave it a shot.
