What a fine camera this really is! It is like no Pentax before it......it's the real deal! Wonderful! Amazing! Terrific!

For those wondering about the Crop Mode ( So easy to use...just turn the dial and you're in it!) all of these were shot in the Crop Mode.

For wildlife it is wonderful!

Best Regards! If you don't have a K1, get one when you can, you will have zero regrets!

I for one is someone wondering about crop mode for bird and squirrel (eastern Grays here in Delaware) photos. What lenses did you use for your crop pictures? I am on the fence regarding making the jump from K-3 to K-1. One thing holding me back is nearly all of my lenses are aps-c, especially DA Limiteds. My only FF lens is the DFA-100 Macro WR and perhaps DA* 200. Your results look great and give me some hope I would not need to scrap my current collection which I really like. I am also wanting to know how the DA limiteds, especially DA 15 and 21 work on K-1 in crop mode. Would I lose something compared to how they are on K-3?

Nice shots - good to see the little 40 Limited doing so well, good news for those who don't wish to lug a large load after the K-1 body weight is factored in

How much processing was done? It seems the saturation and contrast are very very heavy in those shots.. are those straight out of the camera?

Since these seem mainly lens test images, it would be handy to have the lens used in the flickr image title (eg K-1-DA40-0047, instead of K-1-0047 etc) ...

I am using the Bigma 50-500 FF lens in the crop mode..works perfect! Don't know about lenses......others can help you there.

Get the K1.......wonderful camera for low light wildlife shooting!

Regards!

Tamron 17-50 + Sigma 17-70 Macro + DA-18-250 and 18-270 no go on K-1
Sigma 18-300 is pretty usable at 300 only.
Sigma 18-35 Art pretty usable at 35 only.
