Get a K-1. Just holding one changes your autonomous response system. I mean, who cares what some CaNikon idiot posts on the Internet?

The immediate temptation is to Reply, "I have it, I know better, and you are a fool" - except - why bother replying? You have it, you know better and fools just gonna be fools. They're tragically amusing after you get a K-1.

Meanwhile Frederick's Photo Source near here reports he only broughy in two K-1s, he hd no pre-orders. The last one was in the shop for two hours. Everyone who's touched one had bought it. If I had walked in three days ago, there was a two hour window where I would have ahd a shot at holding one.

I believe the popular cameras are determined by how many clicks reviews or other articles about the camera get. The K-1 doesn't have a review on dpreview, but there had been an article about Pixelshift on the front page. Now the article is no longer on the front page, so there is nothing to draw people to it, and therefore to the K-1. Some of those other cameras have links to reviews on the right side of the page which are pretty prominent.

Don't worry, their anti-Pentax bias is still intact - the K1 was excluded in their "2016 Roundup: Semi-Pro Interchangeable Lens Cameras"

That category was for "cameras costing $2000 or more", as stated in the first sentence of the article. The K-1 did get included in the $1200-$2000 FF category of the roundup, as were cameras such as the Canon 6D, Nikon D610, and the Sony a7.

Who cares about DPR? Pentax, any model, is definitely the most popular brand on Pentax Forums, the only truly unbiased photo forum on the net.
I know, because once someone put a Nikon in my hands and asked me to do the shooting of the event. I'll never put myself through such an excercise again.
