DNG vs PEF. I know that generally they are the same. My question is a little more specific. With my K5iis, I use PEF, but the K-1, I don't have LR6, only 5, so I've set the camera up for DNG. With the K5iis, when I import, the colors are generally flat and I do my usual thing to them, but the DNG seems to have more "pop" to the images. Just wondering if the DNG keeps the JPG settings in the file vs the PEF gets them stripped in LR.

With your K-1, LR5 will use the embedded camera profile required by the DNG spec rather than the Adobe Standard profile offered with LR6. With your K-5IIs images in LR5 you should be able to toggle to use the embedded profile for that camera. Some users claim better/more accurate colors. If you like it, you can set that as the default.
