K-1 Shipping from Ricoh!

Just got a note from Ricoh and a confirmed charge to my credit card: My pre/backordered K-1 is shipping!

Ordered from Ricoh direct nearly a month ago, and hopeful this update cheers anyone else still waiting.

I'd better go order a lens... ☺

Grab the D FA 28-105mm or the 24-70mm - both are great. Congrats!

Adam what's your opinion on both lenses if using stopped down to f/8 -f/11, are both similar. I could use the extra length for landscape work.

As far as image quality goes, they are neck-and-neck, with the 28-105mm pulling ahead at 70mm and obviously offering more reach. It's pretty sharp corner-to-corner with some vignetting until F8, so at that aperture or smaller it should be smooth sailing.

Here are a couple of shots made with my 28-105. The first one at 28mm and the second one at 105mm. They are at f16, but they should give you an idea on the quality of the lens.
